Introducing WEBSOCKETS
In the past, notifications came through via Google Cloud Messaging. While reliable, Google Cloud Messaging required a Google login to be setup per device, which was time consuming and made it difficult for deployments of a higher volume.
The WebSocket interface boasts the same speed as GCM, but the good news is that it does not need a Google account for setup.
What does this mean for you? Less hassle during setup, more control over devices and extremely fast and accurate loading of content – something we are very proud of.
